Expression of interest and contact forms
When you submit a form on our site, we collect your name, email address, location, and any information you include in your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, if relevant, to follow up about retreat participation. The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest (responding to your direct enquiry).
Email list sign-up
If you join our mailing list, we collect your name and email address. We use Mailchimp to manage our mailing list. Your data is stored on Mailchimp's servers in accordance with their privacy policy (mailchimp.com/legal/privacy). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. The legal basis for this processing is consent.
Retreat registration
If you register for a retreat, we collect your name, email address, location, and payment information. Payment is processed securely via Stripe — we do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. The legal basis for this processing is contract performance.
Website analytics
We use Squarespace's built-in analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This data is anonymised and aggregated — we cannot identify individual visitors from it. No additional analytics tools are used on this site.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to ensure the site functions correctly and to collect anonymised usage data. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner that appears when you first visit the site. Essential cookies (required for the site to function) cannot be declined.
How we store your data
Your data is stored securely on Squarespace's servers and, where applicable, on Mailchimp's and Stripe's servers. All are reputable providers with strong data security practices. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.
How long we keep your data
Form submissions: up to 2 years, or until you ask us to delete them
Mailing list: until you unsubscribe
Retreat registration data: up to 5 years for accounting and legal purposes

International transfers
Her Bold Adventure is based in Italy. Some of our service providers (Mailchimp, Stripe, Squarespace) are based in the United States. Data transfers to the US are conducted under appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses.

Our site is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
